For a long time, we have been welcoming students from all over the world to New Zealand, and we understand the challenges you might face – whether they are to do with language, study, work or student life. That's why we create a homely atmosphere, where you will be supported.

Making visitors like you feel welcome is part of our culture – the Māori concept of manaakitanga means making all visitors feel 'at home'.

Pre-arrival and visa information webinars

Once you are accepted into your programme, our webinars will help you prepare everything you need for your stay in New Zealand.

International orientation

This casual but informative event is for all new international students. It is your chance to explore the campuses, attend information sessions, have some fun and make friends before the semester begins. 

AUSA Buddy Programme

Our Auckland University Students' Association (AUSA) can pair you up with a local buddy as you navigate your first month in New Zealand. Your buddy can help you adjust to the unique Kiwi culture and answer your questions as you settle in to your new home.
