High Achievers Scholarship

The University of Auckland India High Achievers Scholarship offers scholarships up to $20,000 towards tuition fees for new international students from India enrolling full-time in undergraduate degrees, postgraduate diplomas or masters degrees.

University of Auckland ASEAN
High Achievers Scholarship

This scholarship offers up to $10,000 towards tuition fees for new international students from ASEAN countries enrolling full-time in undergraduate degrees, postgraduate diplomas or masters degrees.

University of Auckland International Student Excellence Scholarship

This scholarship provides up to $10,000 towards tuition fees for new international students undertaking full-time study in undergraduate degrees, postgraduate diplomas or masters degrees (gaining university admission with overseas secondary or post-secondary qualifications).

University of Auckland International School Leaver Scholarship

This scholarship provides up to $20,000 towards tuition fees for international students who have attended a New Zealand secondary school or kura, and who are enrolling in the first year of an undergraduate degree.

Doctoral Scholarship

This scholarship is for excellent doctoral students. It covers three years of tuition, a living allowance and insurance costs. As this is awarded based on recommendations by faculty staff, there is no need to apply for this scholarship.

China Scholarship Council (CSC) Scholarships

Top students from China are encouraged to apply to study for their PhD at the University of Auckland through this scholarship programme. It has been developed in collaboration with the China Scholarship Council (CSC).

Manaaki New Zealand Scholarships

A Manaaki New Zealand Scholarship supports you to become a leader in areas that will assist in the development of your home country. At the end of the scholarship, you will need to return to your home country for at least two years to apply your skills.

Linh Tran

An awardee of the International Student Excellence Scholarship, Linh is studying towards a Bachelor of Advanced Science (Honours) in psychology. Supported by the scholarship, Linh is working on research that could enhance the well-being of ADHD patients.

Manuel Fernandes

Manuel is a recipient of the University of Auckland India High Achievers Scholarship and is studying a Master of Business Analytics. The scholarship has helped him reduce his study costs and focus more on his studies.

Sim Sher Yie

Sherry comes from Malaysia and is an awardee of the University of Auckland ASEAN High Achievers Scholarship. Sherry's scholarship not only provided financial support, making it possible for her to study in New Zealand, but also motivated her to strive for even greater success in her studies.

Theresa Bosamimla Patterson

Theresa is the recipient of a Manaaki New Zealand Scholarship and is studying towards a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and in Politics and International Relations. She hopes to start a social enterprise in Papua New Guinea that can help with initiatives in education, labour, women’s issues and health.
