About the scholarship

A scholarship to support new international masters students from Indonesia with the cost of tuition fees.

Applicable Study: Masters degree at Waipapa Taumata Rau, University of Auckland

Objective: To support international students to study a masters degree at Waipapa Taumata Rau, University of Auckland

Value: 25% of tuition fees for the first year of the eligible master’s degree

Tenure: One year

Offer Rate: Each semester

Application Status: Eligible offer holders will be invited to apply

Important: Please note that scholarship recipients are required to pay their tuition fees in full by the applicable deadline. The scholarship value will be credited to the student’s account at a later date in accordance with the scholarship Terms.

Important dates

  • 21 October 2026 - Invitations will be issued on this date to eligible students holding a valid offer. To be considered, applicants must hold an offer by 20 October 2026. Please check your email inbox, including your spam or junk folder, on this date.
  • From 30 November 2026 - Successful applicants will be notified of the outcome of their scholarship application.
  • From 14 December 2026 - Waitlisted applicants will be advised of the outcome of their scholarship application.

Please note that these dates are indicative only and may change if there are delays in the review process.

Eligibility

You may be invited to apply if you meet the following criteria:


  • You are a new international student holding an offer for a master's degree programme.
  • You hold a conditional or unconditional offer of study issued before 20 October 2026.
  • You have a GPE of 7.0 or above.
  • Hold a passport issued by the government of Indonesia.

How to apply

  1. Invitation: Eligible offer holders will receive an email invitation from the Scholarships Office on 21 October 2026.
  2. Supplementary Application: Submit your application through the online application portal link provided in your invitation email before the deadline specified in the invitation.
  3. Required Documents
    • A copy of your passport
    • A 500-word personal statement

  • Include your study/career goals, work experience, achievements, financial need and how the scholarship will help you.
