Transnational education (TNE) partnerships

We are excited to be working on a range of transnational education (TNE) partnerships with universities around the world.

Most of these partnerships involve formal credit transfer agreements, which allow students who meet certain academic standards to have their study credits recognised and transferred into specific programmes at the University of Auckland.

You’ll have access to world-class education, awarded educators and a global learning experience, all starting in your home country. Transnational education is a new way to study that allows you to stay connected to your home country while learning with the University of Auckland.

What is transnational education?

Transnational education, or TNE, is a flexible way to earn two qualifications in less time, with all the benefits of an international education. It allows you to complete part of your studies with one of our partner universities near you, and part of your studies with the University of Auckland – while earning a qualification from both.

How does TNE benefit you?

How does transnational education work?

In a TNE programme, you begin your studies at your home university and then transfer to the University of Auckland to finish your degree.

Our special credit agreements with leading universities and institutions across the world mean the courses you complete at either institution are recognised by both.

This means you can easily build on what you’ve done when you move between institutions, fast-tracking your studies and earning two qualifications – one from your home institution and one from the University of Auckland.
